I Want to Be a French Fry

Project: Children’s Book Illustrations and Book Design

Christopher “Poppy” Wise wrote a unique story about acceptance of ourselves and others, told through the eyes of a child that wants to be a French Fry. I was tasked with bringing that perspective to life through my illustrations. In addition to illustrating the book, I hand-drew the “French Fry” letters for the title and designed the layout of the book.

This book has been introduced to children through festival showcases and book readings at school’s throughout Knoxville. I Want to Be a French Fry is available online, and sold at Union Avenue Books in Knoxville, Cork & Cover in Clinton and Towns Toffee in Sweetwater.
